Healthy Food Grocery List
Fruits
- Apple Slices (perfect for snacks!)
- Strawberries (if in season, when they aren’t it’s expensive)
- Blueberries
- Kiwi
- Lemon
- Oranges
- Peaches
- Bananas
Veggies
- Carrot sticks
- Celery
- Lettuce
- Spinach
- Tomatoes
- Avocado (I consider it a veggie)
Breads
- 100% Whole Wheat bread
- Crackers, no salt or low sodium
- High-fiber cereals, probably best to not choose the really sugary ones (coco puffs, lucky charms, etc.)
Proteins
- Almonds, nuts (unsalted)
- Lean meats (salmon is a good one!)
- Beans (black, pinto, lentils, soy)
- Soy milk
Dressings
- Low-fat Ranch
- Low sodium ketchup
- Fat-free mayonaise
- Mustard (ew)
- Light butter
- Cool Whip (light, regular - doesn’t matter)
- Cinnamon
Dairy
- Greek Yogurt (STEER CLEAR of plain if this is your first time having it. It tastes like sour cream, though you can add Cinnamon & it’s yummmmmy :) )
- Light yogurt
- Skim milk
- Soy milk
- Mozzarella cheese (skim)
- Cheddar cheese
Drinks
- 24 pack of water
- Light juice
